Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, setup, and operation of Cardiac Catheterization equipment and monitoring devices.
- Administer medications and IVs as required during Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, making immediate assessments and interventions when necessary.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the Cardiac Catheterization procedure and recovery.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all aspects of care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean, and sterile environment in the Cath Lab.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cardiac care.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members as needed.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of license.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with 5 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization lab preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Cardiac Cath Lab RN
11 week assignment
40 hrs
10 hr varied shifts
BLS, ACLS, & PALS required
NM or multi-state license
2 yrs of experience required
Must have experience in adult Cath Lab diagnostic, interventionl or EP procedures in perfomring scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring/recording duties
Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and principles of diagnostic and interventional technology
