Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Overview: As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing Cardiac Catheterization procedures. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients throughout their Cath Lab experience.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, setup, and operation of Cardiac Catheterization equipment and monitoring devices.
• Administer medications and IVs as required during Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, making immediate assessments and interventions when necessary.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the Cardiac Catheterization procedure and recovery.
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all aspects of care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean, and sterile environment in the Cath Lab.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cardiac care.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with 5 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization lab preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and professional development.

Cardiac Cath Lab RN
11 week assignment
40 hrs
10 hr varied shifts
BLS, ACLS, & PALS required
NM or multi-state license
2 yrs of experience required
Must have experience in adult Cath Lab diagnostic, interventionl or EP procedures in perfomring scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring/recording duties
Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and principles of diagnostic and interventional technology
