PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION:
A registered professional nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive skills specific to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation in accordance with current standards of practice as outlined in the Massachusetts Nursing Practice Act and the American College of Sports Medicine Clinical Practice Guidelines for Rehabilitation as well as applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations and established policies and procedures to assure that the highest degree of quality care and safety can be maintained.
DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY:
As a Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation Nurse, you are delegated the authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts
Basic Life Support; ACLS
Certified Exercise Specialist, American College of Sports Medicine, Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Three years ICU experience preferred
