Apex Recovery is a co-occurring drug and alcohol treatment program founded in 2013 and are licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services and accredited by the Joint Commission. Apex Recovery's mission is to provide the highest quality of care, treat every person and family in recovery with dignity and respect and our program is designed to ensure that all clients will be treated equally. Together, the Apex Recovery Team provides client centered treatment utilizing evidence based practices that rely on scientific, medical and behavioral research while incorporating holistic practices to support and treat the whole person. We offer a seamless transition to all levels of care.
The Apex Recovery Team is made up of highly trained and experienced professionals in providing clinically effective, recovery focused, trauma informed and culturally sensitive care. Our clinical treatment team consists of highly skilled and compassionate licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed nurses, certified SUD counselors and board-certified medical providers specializing in dual diagnosis.
In this position the RN works closely with the Nurse Practitioner and Medical Assistants, to facilitate the client's essential needs to ensure a safe and successful detoxification. This position on average consists of a significantly reduced caseload and documentation than most RN positions (compared to a hospital setting).

Required License/Certifications
- Possess a current, unencumbered active Registered Nurse license or LVN/LPN from the California Board of Nursing
- Have been licensed in California for a minimum of 6 months
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Valid current driver's license

- 1+ years of face to face experience, ideally working directly with clients
- Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field

- Complies with established departmental and BHS policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Ability to organize, set priorities and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility.
- Ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate in working with underserved communities.
- Establishes and maintains contact with community resources to ensure continuity of care (e.g., case managers, rehabilitation and detoxification centers, psychiatric units).
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with clients, family members, other professional staff and the public.
- Requests assistance and guidance from the Supervisor and professional staff when necessary to address client issues and problems.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops
- Have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with the treatment team, medical providers, professional staff, representatives from government and community agencies
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor

- Ability to model composure through use of calm voice and neutral facial expressions; remaining self-aware of verbal and non-verbal communication, prompting use of known coping skills.

- Must be physically and mentally able to assist in an emergency situation.

Job Type: Full-time Hourly, Monday through Friday (potential of 4 hour Saturday/Sunday shifts - flexibility in scheduling negotiable)
Starting Pay: $38.00 - $52.00 (based on experience & education)
