Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Nursing)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse working in an ambulatory setting, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing and monitoring patients' health conditions, and implementing nursing care plans. Your primary goal will be to promote wellness and patient satisfaction by delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct patient assessments and triage patients based on their health needs.
2. Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
3. Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques.
4. Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status.
5. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
6. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
7. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
9. Adhere to all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
10. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
3. BLS certification.
4. Previous experience in ambulatory care or outpatient setting preferred.
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
9. Commitment to providing patient-centered care.
10. Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training.
