Mindful and Modern ABA pairs our center-based ABA program with an in-house Montessori school, making it truly one-of-a-kind in the Indianapolis area. This collaborative and innovative approach to ABA allows our children to work on communication as well as play, social, daily living, and classroom skills in a natural environment. Mindful and Modern ABA is looking to add full-time RBTs to our team. As a RBT you will support and implement care plans for children with autism in collaboration with a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA). You will provide ABA interventions that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors so the children you work with can build and improve upon their communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings
- Follow the behavior reduction and behavioral skill acquisition protocols
- Collect and record data based and complete daily session notes on client behavior using electronic documentation
- Implement client specific behavior intervention plan for assigned client as written by the BCBAs
- Work with BCBAs to implement individualized treatment plan goals
- Communicating effectively with BCBAs, interdisciplinary professionals, clients,parents,and caregivers regarding client progress
- Assisting BCBAs with behavior reduction assessments and skills acquisition
- Assisting BCBAs in the preparation of client materials
- Respond appropriately to different situations common among Autism patients and others with behavioral and developmental challenges
- Collaborate with OT, Speech, and Montessori services
- Utilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to clients
- Be able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in client behaviors
- Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniques
- Know how to respond to negative behaviors appropriately
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and maintain RBT certification
- May qualify for BACB supervision hours for those seeking to obtain their BCaBA or BCBA certifications.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
- Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions and when emergency crisis situations arise
- Perform general clerical duties as needed, and complete daily housekeeping responsibilities shared between staff
- Work independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelines
- Follow guidance from senior level staff to enhance personal professional development
- Work with a diverse team of professionals in a respectful manner
- Track supervision hours to ensure ethical and accurate supervision coincides with BACB standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Behavior Technician from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- 0-3 years of experience required for entry-level positions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and work as a team
- Reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years of age
TRAVEL:
__25_% travel will be required. RBT will be assigned to one locations but may need to travel between locations based on staffing needs
