Job description

Title: Regional VP of Sales

Reports to: VP/Director of Business Development and Client Relationships

Status: Full Time Exempt

Direct Reports: NA


Opportunity
: Join a growing life science procurement and SaaS technology company as it expands its presence in the San Francisco bio tech market. Sell high value administrative services and a proven procurement software solution. You will have the autonomy to manage your own territory in a high-volume environment with an average sales cycle of 45 days. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced salesperson who enjoys building relationships and closing deals.


Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and expand the company’s west coast sales territory. Develop relationships within the life science industry to facilitate sales. Generate leads, conduct sales calls, provide client demos, negotiate pricing, and close sales. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue goals. Represent the company at networking events to build brand awareness and business opportunities. Act as mentor to future sales rep as the West Coast business expands.


Key Functions:

  • Working with the VP/Business Development and Client Relationships define and implement sales strategies for acquiring new business.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities with VCs, advisors, and consultants and execute on solidifying these partnerships.
  • Manage assigned territory performing daily outbound sales activities including calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, etc.
  • Manage prospects from lead generation through closing, navigating objections and fostering relationships.
  • Provide demos of our product, as needed, communicating our value proposition and showcasing our solution’s features and benefits.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms and prepare sales agreements.
  • Attend networking and industry events to generate sales and partnership leads.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Meet and exceed established sales quotas.
  • Report weekly, monthly, quarterly sales goals, closed business, and pipeline status.
  • Record and accurately maintain all interactions in our CRM (Hubspot), actively maintaining a sales pipeline with documented activity in accordance with sales processes and methodologies.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients to make sure they are satisfied and request referrals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 7 + years’ experience with proven success in lead generation and sales for a SaaS company
  • Experience in the Life Science industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other comparable CRM software platforms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and overcome objections
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to credibly influence at all levels
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Personable and able to work as a member of small team
  • A strong work ethic, self-driven and motivated
