How you'll make an impact
As the Regional Vice President, Small Business Benefits & HR Consulting you will balance both divisional and regional strategy. You will work with your regional team to drive consistency, create efficiency, and focus on continuous improvement. Our goal is to deliver best-in-class services and resources to improve client sales, satisfaction, and retention. This role reports to the Divisional Chief Operating Officer with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Regional President.
As a cross-functional leader, it is critical to have experience in the employee benefits consulting space and the ability to impact teams without direct authority. The role is broken into three main responsibilities including operational leadership, team management, and serving as a compliance resource.
Operational Leadership:
- Lead the regional GBS operations strategies through both direct management of regional operations team and matrix relationships across local branch offices
- Collaborating directly with Account Management, Client Support Services, Compliance, Finance, Global Support Services, HRIT, Human Resources, Marketing, and Sales Operations
- Collect and analyze data to promote strategies in operational efficiency, including organization structure design
- Drive adoption of recommended solutions with quantifiable ROI
- Implement technology and/or vendor solutions to support operations and sales activities; drive utilization of technology and solutions across the region
- Act as an advisor throughout the M&A process, including due diligence through integration
- Participate in the preparation of expense and capital budgets for short and long-range planning and operations
Team Management:
- Developing and executing and on the operations strategy with your local team and supporting the divisional operational initiatives through project work
- Provide oversight and direction to shared resources practice leaders
- Give cohesive direction and leadership to ensure execution of local branch initiatives that support the strategic divisional and corporate directives
Compliance Support:
- Recommend internal professional standards and internal education
- Create awareness around operational risks within the region and develop mitigation strategies
About you
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required. Excellent knowledge of the insurance brokerage business.
Preferred:
- Experience with setup, management and oversight of the execution of large scale projects
- Experience and knowledge of change management, organizational development, profit maximization, productivity and efficiency enhancement
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving capabilities
- Must be independent, self-motivated and results oriented
- Proactive approach with attention to detail and proven ability to follow-through
