SUMMARY:
The Regional Technology Coordinator will champion various information technology and tools to support the engineering & operational activities across one or more offices. This person will provide database administration for IT applications, evaluate and implement minor enhancements necessary to support client specific work, identify and implement automation of manual processes, extract data from and import data to both client and Pike Engineering system and tools. Tools may include: tablet based platforms, applications, GPS devices, and other handheld products. With the direction and support of regional management, this person will serve as a Single Point of Contact to the corporate IT department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Proactively identify technology solutions to automate processes and coordinate implementation with direction and support of regional management.

•Database administration to include users having the right roles and access rights within the IT applications.

•Coordinate with corporate IT department on major changes, enhancements, or interfaces needed

•Develop and execute test scripts for new and enhancements made prior to roll out.

•Provide communications, user training and documentation to ensure effective adoption and change management.

•Document user requirements, use and business cases, training materials, and communications

•Participate in effective project meetings (project kickoff, scope development, status meeting, progress review, etc.)

•Serve as a liaison between external technology vendors, corporate IT, engineering, and regional management personnel.

•Assist others with more complex transactions, as needed

  2. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION:
Required High school degree or GED.
Preferred An Associates degree (AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school).
EXPERIENCE:
1-3 Year(s) Experience in information technology development and implementation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
A. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operational procedures, etc.
B. Ability to write reports, Business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
C. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
1. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.
2. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
3. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
A. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
B. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • An aptitude for thinking outside of the box and develop unique and/or creative solutions
  • Demonstrated proficiency with QuickBase, Tablet Applications, and corporate ERP IT systems and including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Adobe Acrobat
  • Be held accountable for maintaining all confidences regarding highly sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Assures quality workmanship and on time delivery to the internal client for all projects assigned.
