The Convenience Regional Sales Manager for the West will be responsible for executing and driving a retail sales plan for the chains & distributors that will result in the delivery of sales and profit growth of existing and new Ferrero products.
This opportunity is remote, with preference for this role to sit in California.
- Day to day contact for the Broker relationships within the specified Channel / Region
- Undertake VP level engagement across the core Customer & Broker base
- Serve as the "Commercial" subject matter expert for respective Account portfolio
- Develop sales Account strategies and translate them into Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising and Pricing (DSMP) objectives
- Support key cross-functional internal and external relationships, including Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales Operations and Sales Forecasting
- Delivery of Account / Regional volume & value targets as agreed with the Broker partners
- Delivery of Monthly Trade Spend targets as agreed during the Broker Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy development
- Responsible for delivering the key monthly Broker Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all metrics
- Monitor Broker development of effective planning and Channel sales strategies, programs, and Commercial policies
- Define and implement Account / Regional targets for Sales and profitability growth across the Customer / Broker
- Engagement and management of the Broker relationships at the most Senior stakeholder levels
- Provide clear direction to Brokers and prioritization of DSMP initiatives, including evaluation of KPIs, results and quarterly reviews
- Provide complete and timely information to brokers to support their sales efforts including trade plans, marketing plans, consumer insights, and product knowledge
- Maintenance of accuracy across Account level forecasting on a Monthly basis
- Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and peers including: Trade Marketing, Category Management, Sales Operations, Sales Forecasting & Channel VPs/Directors
- Own top retailer planning and communication to ensure top tier engagement
- 5+ years' experience in Account Management, Merchandising, and/or Category Management experience, across North America in a CPG setting
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- Management presentation competencies to effectively present key insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Multi-channel CPG experience preferred (C-store, Mass, Grocery, Dollar, e-Comm & Value)
- Strong communication skills with an ability to outline and reinforce the North America Regional vision / strategy
- Interpersonal skills to interface with the necessary internal and external stakeholders, building solid relationships and achieving brand sales goals
- Strategic and proactive thinking to develop sales strategies and translate into distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising objectives
- Data analysis skills to monitor key accounts' performance in category and develop strategies to close gaps and increase sales
- Strong External (Customer) network
- Commercially astute with a strong business sense and excellent problem solving / analytical skills
