We are searching for an experienced Regional Sales Manager responsible for new business growth of high Precision Machining, high-quality gearing and gearbox solutions. The Sales Manager will work remote and travel roughly 60% of the time throughout the region of Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa. Industries including but not limited to: mechanical power transmission, agriculture, power generation, food processing, general industrial, steel, aluminum, cement, and more. This position will continually develop industry intelligence through attending conferences, meetings, and industry journals. Utilizing this industry information, the Sales Manager will forecast trends and opportunities for business growth through existing and prospective customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Secure orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone/email/text.
- Secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements and present to inside sales team timely.
- Follow up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
- Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and/or other key personnel).
- Submit regular activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships, including the use of CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce.com).
- Perform all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
- Provide a territory sales forecast on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Manage Manufacturer Sales Reps with in territory by supporting and determining sales forecast for each person/firm.
