Role and Responsibilities
Includes, but not limited to the following.
- Build an industry leading sales team through effective recruitment, retention & employee development
- Train, coach, mentor and develop new and existing sales staff in proper sales methods, processes, communication skills and procedures necessary to accomplish consistent service standards & sales growth.
- Develop and build relationships with senior members of contractor accounts statewide.
- Support to outside salespeople with account development and relationship building skills
- Analyze sales data monthly, setting goals and performance expectations for all outside salespeople
- Quarterly assessment reviews with each outside sales rep. Reassign accounts accordingly in an effort to provide the best sales growth potential.
- Monitor performance of all outside salespeople across all divisions including Truss, Lumber, HWT, Commercial, Packaged Homes & Doorshop.
- Address and solve customer, account and salespeople’s concerns and issues in an expedited manner.
- Work with location GMs to develop and maintain consistent service standards & processes provided by each location and their supporting teams.
- Work with GMs, Division Controller and Senior Director to set annual budget plan targets related to sales and selling expense
- Provide regular reporting of all sales KPI’s, including but not limited to monthly forecasting based on quotes, market opportunities and existing awarded sales per division.
- May participate in human resources related activities to include interviewing, hiring, terminating and conducting performance evaluations of associates.
- Ensure that all salespeople are providing a complete product offering to each and every job when quoting projects. All products we offer should be included and presented to the customer.
- Ensure that salespeople are practicing consistent timely follow-up processes, proving interest in earning the business and developing all accounts assigned to them.
- Collaborate effectively with all divisions to drive sales & improve service performance to meet expectations
- Participate as an active member of statewide industry associations such as BIA, GCA, HAS etc.
- Develop and present sales strategies and marketing campaigns to drive sales and boost revenues.
- Participate in annual physical inventories as requested.

- degree or diploma in business, marketing or related field & or
- minimum 10 years industry related experience in sales / marketing
- minimum 5 years in a Sales Manager or manager related position
