Job description

SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Vocational Services, hands-on leadership position is responsible for managing the service delivery of our Contract operations; including the supervision and oversight of staff to ensure the delivery of high quality cleaning services to our customers. Assure client services are responsive to client needs and are conducted within agency guidelines. Regional Janitorial Supervisor will provide supervision to the
Janitorial Supervisors and all clients participating in the program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Provide oversight of assigned contract areas at multiple locations.
2. Train and supervise all staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and coordinating staff and duties to meet requirements of contract.
3. Administers corporate personnel policies in accordance with Goodwill, EDS and client contracts.
4. Maintain positive & professional customer relationships and respond to customer inquiries/requests in a timely manner.
5. Ensure contractual compliance through surveillance, audits, and hands on inspections of work and taking immediate action when work is not completed to standards.
6. Assist Janitorial Supervisors with coordinating and completing cleaning tasks to ensure that standards are being met, including on-the-job training to severely disabled persons.
7. Assure adequate equipment and supplies are available at each site in order to complete tasks.
8. Lead on-going efforts for process improvement to enhance productivity and increase efficiencies while maintaining high level of quality.
9. Complete necessary paperwork as specified by the Director of Vocational Services or Supported Employment Administrator, including specification checklists, incident reports, etc.

10. Responsible for monitoring and ordering needed supplies and the proper usage of equipment.

11. Track employee hours and assuring that accurate information is reported to the Human
Resources department.

12. Assist Director of Vocational Services and Supported Employment Administrator, including but not limited to, the following: a. Participation in the planning & budgeting process; identifying opportunities for expansion b. Initial site visits during expansion c. Cost Evaluations of contracts d. Execute new customer/contract start-up operations

13. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent; and two years’ supervisory experience required.

2. Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills and ability to motivate others.

3. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat clean and well-groomed appearance.

4. Ability to communicate, both written and orally, on a professional and acceptable level necessary to carry out all aspects of assigned job duties.

5. Familiar with persons with barriers needs, concerns and alternate problem solving. Be able to empathize with and show compassion.

6. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all information.

7. Ability to exhibit sound problem solving and decision making capabilities.

8. Ability to demonstrate competence and organizational skills in a rapidly changing environment.

9. Ability to work a flexible work schedule that includes days and evenings.

10. Must have access to personal transportation for use to conduct approved Goodwill business. Must be able to pass MVR checks and provide proof of a valid Driver’s license and personal auto insurance.

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, reach, stand, talk or hear.
2. The employee is also required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
