Job description

Overview:
The Regional Human Resources Director (RHRD) is responsible for leading the Human Resources function at a regional level with responsibility for multiple campuses located in Florida, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. The RHRD partners with Campus Presidents and Directors to develop and implement people strategies, plans and programs to drive performance, fostering positive employee relations and talent management within his/her region.

Employee can be located near any of the East Coast campuses.

The work involves driving toward results by enrolling the commitment and buy-in of peers, direct reports, clients, and Home Office leaders. While the position requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved with and through people. Therefore, a self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage and positively impact individuals and groups is essential.

The position is hybrid (working onsite and remote) with some travel required (about 10%).
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes.
  • Training and Development: Partner with Learning & Development to design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities, supporting professional growth and development.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to maintain a compliant and ethical work environment.
  • Compliance: Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations, ensuring the company's adherence to legal requirements.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Implement and analyze HR metrics to drive data-driven decision-making and provide regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of senior level generalist Human Resources experience encompassing demonstrated experience in various HR disciplines such as employee relations, performance management, staffing, compensation, benefits, EEO/AAP, etc.
  • Minimum three years Leadership/Management experience with a strong emphasis on coaching and development.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strong, collaborative business relationships with executive management teams, client groups and direct reports.
  • In-depth experience consulting with business partners on Talent Management, Change Management, Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Performance Management, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Must have experience working in a multi-site, multi-state environment.
  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Predictive Index Licensed Analyst preferred.
