The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing regularly. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Environmental Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently operates heavy machinery. The position is also exposed to outdoor and warehouse environments.

Essential Functions
- Ensure daily solid waste disposal is achieved
- Keep clean and maintain Waste Management Facility, yard outside, and the Produce Market
- Duties will consist of snow removal, lawn care, waste removal, waste disposal, trash bin collection and disposal
- All duties must be achieved safely and efficiently compliant with all OSHA rules and regulations
- Operate processing equipment, such as fiber sorters and grinders, to sort, crush, or grind recyclable materials
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items onto trucks for shipping to smelters or other recycled materials processing facilities

Required Education and Experience
- Must have experience with commercial-powered vehicles such as forklifts, riding jacks, lawnmowers, scissors and boom lifts, and snowplows
- Knowledge of OSHA safety
- High School diploma is required
- 2 years' experience working in waste management
