ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores. The ExtraMile network is currently made up of more than 1000 convenience stores in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. The growth of the Company has resulted in opportunities to expand the ExtraMile brand within the current footprint, as well as to other states - resulting in exciting new employment opportunities.

We are currently seeking a Regional Franchise Operations Manager based in Southern California who is responsible for a team of Franchise Business Consultants throughout Southern California and portions of the Central California region. This position requires the ability to communicate at all levels of the Company, but most importantly with our Franchise Owners.

What will I do as Regional Franchise Operations Manager?

  • Manage a team of home-based Franchise Business Consultants (FBC) and drive performance and accountability of the FBCs across all zones in assigned area, and performance objectives of assigned Key Accounts.
  • Develop/Mentor Franchise Business Consultants in improving franchisee sales and ensure compliance to ExtraMile service standards and brand representation.
  • Model leadership behaviors and coach direct reports to maximize capabilities to influence Franchisee to implement new ideas, merchandising concepts, and platforms with a heavy emphasis around Fresh Food growth and digital platforms.
  • Grow organizational capability including the development of direct reports by utilizing career development plans and ensure employees understand and fulfill their compliance obligations. Conduct all aspects of the annual performance management process with your team.
  • Manage PNL/NOI for your respective area and drive results through an agreed set of performance measures.
  • Create and implement strategies to achieve new growth objectives and sales targets.
  • Ensure new initiatives are deployed on a timely basis and handle any special projects which support key business objectives.
  • Support and lead merchandising execution and compliance, including special events (grand openings, customer appreciation events, special site promotions, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with planogram (POG), promotions and point of purchase (POP) execution, resolve price book and back-office system (BOS) issues as needed.
  • Identify performance evaluation success or issues and effectively communicate to Franchisee for resolution.
  • This position requires frequent travel and extended driving. Successful candidate must possess a clean driving record and be committed to incident free operations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

For this role we are currently looking for those who have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or in a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of Retail and Franchise management experience with a solid understanding of convenience store retailing, marketing strategies, Franchise brand guidelines and an ability to execute Franchise programs successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members/customers to influence execution of Franchise Programs and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
  • A knowledgebase in effectively managing PNLs, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow statements to deliver profitable results.
  • A spirit of teamwork inside and outside the work group.
  • Solid multi-unit leadership through changing situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including, Excel, Work, PowerPoint.
