Job Description
Major responsibilities shall include and not limit to the following:
• Provides overall direction to the engineering function by guiding and coaching engineering projects, setting priorities, delegating workload and developing policies and procedures consistent with the company’s standards.
• Identifies competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of a company.
• Develop a talent management platform intended to drive the most value to the individual and the organization.
• This role will be managing design center in North America. This leader needs to assess where resources are needed and expand/reduce these centers as business requires.
• From design conceptualization to mass production, the Director of Engineering and his team will work closely with the Sales and Product Development as well as factories to support the concept of “Build to Specs” and Design-In.
• The incumbent will also be responsible for OTD Tooling & Tooling Qualification within the SLA. He/She will also be building strong pipeline for new business opportunities/ NPI.
• Lead the technical team to support the entire Group’s technical innovation strategy.
• Work very closely with the various stakeholders to develop “green” tooling.
• Responsible for product patent protection, product development.
Requirement profile:
• Possess strong Mechanical Engineering and operations background.
• Strong background in tooling, precision engineering, stamping and machinery.
• Experience in driving innovation within automation industry
• Knowledge of innovation in advanced manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing
• Automotive experience is essential. Ideally this candidate should have had exposure to powertrain, “under-the-hood” harsh environment within the automotive sector.
• Well-trained on best practices processes and procedures, structured in approach but maintain a degree of flexibility that is required for the Asia market. © 2024 ENNOVI. All rights reserved.
