The Regional Director of Operations participates on a management team for the district and provides overall planning, direction, evaluation and control of units, achieving operational and financial goals. The Regional Director provides guidance and motivation to District Directors, as well as other Managers and associates. The role also is instrumental in establishing and maintaining effective customer/client rapport with our hospital clients in the Plant Operations Division.

Manages all accounts within a region to ensure compliance with government and agency standards and to ensure profitability of the region
Handles and ensures compliance with the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulatory business appointments
Attends committee meetings to understand the needs of the client
Ensures consistent and fair administration of personnel policies
Manages planning, budget analysis and reporting for the Region and/or District
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering highly preferred; Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred
Ten years of Multi Unit experience in Facilities Management in an acute care hospital, required
Experience in P&L management
Should have proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred
Possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems
Must have knowledge and expertise in NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations and the ability to interpret and implement
Contract-managed service experience, preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Demonstrates initiative, ownership, multi-tasking, prioritization and organizational skills
Extensive travel required for this position (on the road 80% of the time)
Ideal candidate will reside in the Midwest United States or be willing to relocate to the Midwest (ideal location would be Chicago, IL)
