Job Description
KIPP Delta seeks a kind, compassionate, and organized Regional Child Nutrition Coordinator (RCNC) with excellent leadership skills and a passion for nutrition and improving student health outcomes. The Regional Child Nutrition Coordinator's primary focus is to ensure that our students' health and well-being are not barriers to their school and future success.
The RCNC is responsible for building and executing a comprehensive strategic plan, which includes ensuring our students have access to high-quality breakfast, lunch, and snack that is in compliance with federal guidelines.
The RCNC will report directly to the Managing Director of Regional Operations and work daily with our food service vendors to achieve KIPP Delta's health and wellness goals.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilities and Equipment Management

• Develops guidelines for maintaining equipment to accomplish the operational goals of the school nutrition program.
• Replace equipment when needed, following all purchasing guidelines.

Financial Management and Procurement

• In partnership with the Managing Director of Finance and Managing Director of Regional Operations, help maintain the financial management guidelines that support school nutrition program operational goals and comply with regulations.
• Ensures contracts for food, supplies, and services are procured properly and renewed in a timely, and agreements are monitored for quality.
• Reviews and submits Child Nutrition and fresh fruit and vegetable claims.
• Support FFVP and USDA orders with the state and federal guidelines.

Program Management and Accountability

• Be responsible for receiving feedback from stakeholders (at least quarterly) regarding their satisfaction with the school nutrition and wellness program.
• Complete state and federal reporting accurately and on time.
• Review menus to ensure compliance.

Create a Culture of Achievement and Respect

• Support schools with student recruitment and enrollment activities
• Communicate respectfully and thoughtfully with parents, guardians, and staff while remaining sensitive to different cultures, values, and needs.
• Work with school leadership teams and the MDRO to implement KIPP Delta's mission; coordinate work and collaborate with colleagues.
• Be responsible for completing state and federal reporting accurately and on time. • Assist in creating a school culture with staff, parents, and students focused on strong academic achievement, fairness, respect, and high expectations for behavior.
• Ensure staff members understand KIPP Delta's procedures and have the resources to operate effectively.

Qualifications

• A certified Arkansas Child Nutrition credential is preferred and must be obtained over three years if not.
• Significant experience with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Child Nutrition services and health. K-12 experience preferred.
• Within 30 days of hire, Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
• Must be willing and able to travel every week to schools in Blytheville and Helena, Arkansas
• Strong project and time management skills
• Strong strategic and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and build relationships across teams
• Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to work.
• Commitment to the belief that all students can learn and to the mission of educational equity
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
