Child Nutrition-Warehouse Worker/Driver

JOB GOAL:
The position of Warehouseman is to aid and assist in the smooth and orderly operation of the warehouse. To act as primary support for all warehouse and delivery job areas.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Grade 103 - $17.34 - $22.53 hourly Plus benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon experience. FLSA: Non-Exempt.
QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or the equivalent.
2. Evidence of successful work experience in inventory control procedures, storage and handling of food, supplies and equipment.
3. Experienced bob-truck driver and fork-lift operator. Must be in good driving standing with the state of Arkansas.
4. Must be a dedicated employee as evidence by reporting to work on time and a good steward of the district's property and inventory.
5. Must have a valid driver's license - no conviction for careless or reckless driving, or DWI in last five (5) years.
6. Must be physically able to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time.
7. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job and possess the ability to work in all environmental conditions to perform common functions and duties.
8. Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug test.

BASIC PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITITES:

1. Pull all orders and pickups each morning and throughout the day.
2. Pull out all frozen food necessary for the frozen food puller to use for that days pull.
3. Bring down and slot any dry food and goods for the dry puller to use for that days pull.
4. Follow Standard Operating Procedures for receiving, delivering, and storing food.
5. Slot all items received with attention to rotation of first in first out and to keep all items neat and orderly, accessible and countable.
6. Assist in daily cycle counts for the purpose of maintaining an accurate inventory count of all items.
7. As necessary, act as backup driver for all routes.
8. Assists in maintaining and cleaning trucks, equipment, warehouse and all areas where food and inventory are stored.
9. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Child Nutrition Director, Warehouse Distribution Manager, and Warehouse Distribution Assistant Manager

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, go up and down stairs, operate foot and hand controls, use a telephone and write. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, handling and working with educational materials and/or objects, and providing oral information.
