RE Investment Company, a fast growing, elite general rental equipment company that operates in markets across the Northwest, is searching for a qualified Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager position will provide leadership in motivating, managing, and evaluating the sales team members.
As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will work directly under the Regional Vice President to develop, implement, and maintain a strategic sales plan.
Responsibilities and Key Work:
- Direct and motivate a professional sales team to meet company’s objectives
- Develop markets, understand trends, competition and other issues affecting revenues
- Support the sales team in direct customer calls
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Travel 60% of time to engage with sales staff, customers, and manage target markets
- Perform and provide location and Sales Representative synopsis and action plan.
- Coach and mentor Outside/Inside Sales Representatives
- Preform ride a long’s with each Sales Representatives 2 to 3 times per quarter
- Preform monthly budget/quota reviews with each Sales Representative
- Develop new and existing Outside/Inside Sales Representatives
- Recruit and hire Sales Representatives for the region.
- Report Outside/Inside Sales Representative progression
- Direct weekly sales meetings
- Manage and develop key regional customer accounts.
- Manage customer negotiations.
- Work directly with decision makers in the industrial and commercial industries
- Promote efficient and optimal use of CRM.
- Work with sales team to know the customer’s current and future needs.
- Serve as primary sales contact during employee transition.
- Improve and recommend new processes and procedures in the sales department.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Assist the Regional Vice President in the following
- Recruit new employees
- Manage customer disputes and complaints
- Manage branch productivity
- Perform store audits
- Store visit checklist
- Fill-in at understaffed locations when necessary
- Ensure fleet is maintained and repaired to expectations
- Meets REIC “rent ready” standards
- Monitor missed rents and manage equipment utilization
- Move fleet around the region as needed to maximize ROI
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
- 5+ years of successful outside sales, sales management, or management experience
- 60% travel between the regions locations
- Strong initiative and follow-through
- Proficiency in MS office and CRM software
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strategic thinking
This position can be based out of our Idaho Falls, ID, Twin Falls, ID, Boise, ID, or Logan UT locations. This position is open until filled.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
