We are seeking an innovative Regional Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Franklin, TN. This position will be responsible for all Accounts Receivable functions within the TN, MO and AL region. This individual is an integral member of the finance team and will grow and develop their skills under the direction of the Regional Controller.
Responsibilities
- Perform all day-to-day Accounts Receivable functions, including billing, collections, and customer set-up.
- Run various A/R, profitability, and other reports on a regular basis for Management.
- Work closely with internal accounting staff and other corporate locations to ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions.
- General Ledger journal entries as assigned.
- Assist in research of expense variances on financial statements.
- Facilitate external audits by maintaining accurate records and providing requested information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Controller and Management.
Qualifications
- Effective organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong use of Excel and other Office software applications.
- Ability to learn new software applications, familiarity with integrated ERP systems a plus.
- Familiarity with sales and tax law.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Assertive and polite interpersonal manner.
- Knowledge and Understanding of GAAP, some General Ledger experience a plus.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager.
- Prompt and regular attendance.
Required education:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Required experience:
- 1-3 years accounting experience
