Job Description
The Reformer Pilates / Group Fitness Instructor will teach classes that are aimed at improving the overall fitness levels of our members. Ideal candidate will be a great motivator, always striving to improve the overall fitness levels of our members.
Job Duties:
- Teach Pilates methodology in a group or one to one setting.
- Plan and execute classes for all levels of fitness using proper form and safe methods.
- Create programming to attract and retain membership.
- Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
- Ensures that all necessary equipment is set up for class, and inspect equipment to be sure that it is in safe working order.
- Responsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by the fitness center.
- Records attendance and/or Checks-in participants in order to maintain attendance for each class.
- Ensures that there is a substitute instructor if you are unable to teach your assigned class.
- Nationally recognized comprehensive Pilates Certification.
- Must have National Certification, CPR/AED certification.
- Experience teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus based group fitness class.
- Ability to demonstrate Reformer equipment use for exercise training.
- Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Pilates: 1 Year. (Preferred).
- Group Fitness: 1 Year. (Preferred).
- CPR/AED Certification. (Required or willing to obtain).
- Pilates Certification. (Required).
