Position Summary:
The Reentry Coach will work with Inside Out staff to serve individuals who have been involved with the criminal legal system. This position will assist IO community members who reside in Inside Out’s Reentry House as well as in the community to achieve success after incarceration through comprehensive case management services. Employees are expected to maintain professionalism and confidentiality as representatives of Inside Out. Employees are expected to approach work through a lens of empathy and equity; to apply compassion, empathy, and inclusivity to all areas of their work; and to demonstrate cultural humility.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and members, as appropriate, to:
- Provide oversight at the Inside Out house to ensure house agreements are followed.
- Provide Reentry Coaching re: housing, employment, behavioral health, and other needs to participants, as well as assisting participants with developing personalized reentry plans and goal setting.
- Coordinate and provide referrals, as well as follow-up to ensure needs are being met.
- Provide transportation and other assistance to participants.
- Assist with orientation to new residents.
- Maintain participant files within timelines.
- Assist with conflict negotiation or de-escalation as needed.
- Collaborate with team on implementing selected services and programs
Qualifications and Requirements
- Work hours are Friday and Saturday with 1st and 2nd shifts alternating.
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Peer Support Specialist or Peer Recovery Coach Certification obtained within 6 months of employment; or Associate’s degree in like field.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Commitment to working with returning citizens and improving reentry services in our community.
- Possess a valid driver's license.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
Schedule:
