Job Summary:
Akima has an immediate opening for a Recruiting Manager to support our Facilities Solutions Group with a passion for making a difference and a strong desire to grow with us. This position is ideally suited for a self-motivated, detail-oriented person who is passionate about recruiting and can handle a high volume, fast-paced working environment.
As a Recruiting Manager, you will be responsible for providing highly qualified candidates with various skillsets and levels to support hiring managers for their open positions. You will be required to work closely with the Director of Recruiting Services, other recruiters, recruiting coordinators and your hiring managers to understand their business needs and to provide a sound strategy on how to staff their positions. Up to 50 percent travel on an as need basis will be required for this position to support new contract awards and phase ins.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs full life cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals for assigned Akima companies.
- Partners with Hiring Managers and business leaders to maximize effectiveness of recruiting process.
- Develops and executes comprehensive recruiting strategies utilizing all tools such as direct sourcing, online resume databases, social networking, and job events.
- Works with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
- Regular follow up with the respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruitment process.
- Will take positive steps to support and promote the recruitment, retention, and development programs for Native Alaskan shareholders.
- Responsible for recruiting and managing a high volume of job openings supporting multiple clients and programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 10 years minimum of Staffing/Recruitment experience
- 5 years corporate recruiting experience with a government contractor.
- Experience using a variety of online recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems (iCIMS experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding and ability to recruit at all levels of the organization from entry level to corporate staff.
- Experience recruiting skilled trade positions strongly desired.
- Knowledge of EEO and OFCCP requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based experience.
- Decisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast paced work culture.
- Strong understanding of the recruiting aspects involved in the Government contracting environment.
- Flexibility to work surge hours as required.
- Clear understanding of the end-to-end recruitment life-cycle processes.
- Experience with high volume recruiting.
- Strong work ethic is a must.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance is essential.
