THE OPPORTUNITY
Fisher Phillips is a national labor and employment law firm, and we are looking for a talented Recruiting Assistant to work temporary to support the needs of the firm at a national level. This position can be performed as a hybrid role, working 2-3 days in one of the following offices: Irvine, California or Portland, Oregon. It is expected that the temporary Recruiting Assistant will work from May through October. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about law firms and attorney recruiting while working with a friendly and experienced team. Although this position is a hybrid/remote position, you would need to be available to work during standard business hours.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in all areas of law student recruiting, summer associate program, first year onboarding and lateral attorney recruiting.
- Enter law student and lateral candidate information into the applicant tracking system.
- Solicit and follow up with attorneys for lateral candidate interview evaluations.
- Prepare and organize electronic interview evaluation packets for lateral hiring decisions.
- Assist with summer associate evaluation feedback collection.
- Assist with downloading and organizing resumes for campus recruiting events.
- Contact candidates, summer clerks and first year associates directly to obtain or communicate necessary information.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, training sessions and related activities.
- Organize and send resume packets/schedules to the interviewers for campus interview
- Schedule call-back interviews following campus recruiting and send evaluations to interviewers
- Schedule video interviews and in-person interviews for lateral candidates
- Perform additional duties assigned by the legal recruiting team
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree preferred
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with high level of enthusiasm and professionalism
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a team
- Previous exposure to recruiting salaried employees preferred
- Experience with viRecruit is a plus

The hourly rate range for this position is $23.03 - 25.91. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
