RCM of Washington is hiring an experienced recruiter to coordinate voluminous staffing and Onboarding responsibilities. RCM of Washington is a premier disability service provider agency with community-based locations throughout the District of Columbia. The Human Resources Recruitment and Onboarding Generalist (HR Generalist) is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and Onboarding applicants for open hourly direct care and nursing positions in the agency. The HR Generalist will also coordinate completion of 90 introduction period assessments and satisfaction surveys. This is not a remote work opportunity; RCM is currently utilizing a hybrid work from home schedule. Please do not apply if you are unable to commute to our office in Washington, DC several days per week.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with program managers to develop and maintain a shareable recruitment matrix.
  • Become familiar with and effectively use RCM’s HRIS to identify, screen, route, and notate qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Develop and post effective job announcements. Identify and implement effective and replicable techniques and strategies to attract more qualified candidates. Ensure posting on all designated city/government and community sites.
  • Serve as point of contact for external staffing agencies and coordinate their efforts to staff hard to fill positions.
  • Coordinate and host in person open house, including conference room and interviewer logistics.
  • Attend career fairs and other candidate sourcing community events in the DC metro area, as needed.
  • Screens and interviews candidates. Prepare job offers. Confirm credentials and requirements prior to onboarding.
  • Ensure selected candidates are effectively onboarded and scheduled to attend pre-determined orientation sessions. Track completion of orientation and release to hiring managers. Ensure timely payment of orientation hours.
  • Prepare and distribute 90-day introductory period assessments and track completion.
  • Prepare and distribute satisfaction surveys and track feedback. Prepare quarterly management level summaries on identified trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be knowledgeable with applicable local and federal laws related to recruitment and Onboarding.
  • Must be knowledgeable of applicant tracking systems and HRI systems.
  • Possess critical thinking skills and be able to use logic and reason to identify strengths and weakness of all recommendations made.
  • Strong attention to details required.
  • Ability to prioritize and have a sense of urgency.
  • Highly proficient and effective oral and written English language skills are required.
  • Ability to gain a working knowledge of RCM of Washington policies and procedures.
  • Ability to act as a representative of RCM of Washington to the public.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with other staff members and persons from different backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 1 year of recruitment experience; experience recruiting entry level staff a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Relationship building and management experience with community-based organizations, colleges and universities and other recruitment professionals strongly preferred.
  • Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • HR certification preferred (HRCI or SHRM)
