As a Corporate Recruiter at Puttshack, you will play a vital role in our growth by developing and executing recruitment strategies that attract top talent. You will be responsible for building out processes, structure, and strategy for corporate recruitment to support the growing needs of the business. The corporate recruiter will partner with the hiring managers across multiple departments in our corporate offices including areas (e.g., Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, and leadership positions) to fill their open roles, build talent pipelines with top-tier candidates and anticipate hiring needs in an efficient and thoughtful manner. This position will be in Chicago, IL and will work a hybrid schedule of three days a week in the office and will report directly to Talent Acquisition Leader.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Build trusting and strong partnerships with hiring managers by providing a high-quality experience. Spend time learning the business/function you support and working with managers to understand forecasts and anticipate upcoming hiring needs.
- Managing and facilitating a best-in-class and high-touch comprehensive recruiting process, which includes conducting intake calls, building job profiles, posting positions, screening applicants, interview guidance, coordinating assessments and feedback, preparing market competitive compensation offers, pre-hire preparation, and supporting new hire onboarding experience.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate recruitment strategy. Evaluate and optimize recruitment processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partnering with senior business and human resources leaders to provide strategic and tactical talent acquisition expertise.
- Promoting diverse, equitable, and inclusive hiring strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, creating diversified sourcing strategies using referral networks, intentional pipelining, and targeted outreach, and curating diverse interview teams.
- Develop and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction.
- Works with HR to ensure all talent acquisition practices are in compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Works closely with marketing to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all candidate platforms and recruiting sources.
- Maintains accurate applicant records via the company's applicant tracking system and assigns dispositions to applicants.
- Works with HR leadership to track and analyze talent acquisition and talent management metrics and recommends solutions to support the company's strategic plan and company mission.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate recruitment
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of recruiting for the hospitality and restaurant industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Flexible, curious, and down to earth personality with a true passion for the business of people.
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
- Must be able to travel occasionally to support business needs.
- This position must pass a post-offer background check.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Hospitality, specifically Food & Beverage preferred.
- Experience working in a Private Equity backed start-up company preferred.
