AMFM Healthcare is looking for Recreational Therapists/Group Facilitators to join our amazing and compassionate team! AMFM Healthcare's Recreational Therapists/Group Facilitators run various experiential groups, such as yoga, art, horticulture, music, etc. The Recreational Therapist/Group Facilitator is a professional that facilitates weekly group sessions utilizing evidence based practices for AMFM Healthcare’s core behavioral health programs. Recreational Therapists/Group Facilitators have experience working with acute clients that often have co-occurring mood disorders, substance use, and various mental health diagnoses.
This position would work on-site providing in person services to our adult residential behavioral healthcare facilities in southern Orange County, California. The ability to have flexibility for working evenings and weekends are preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or field relevant to their specialty from an accredited university.
Acceptable Credentials (Desired) - Certificate or Licensure within area of Group Facilitators expertise (e.g. Trauma Informed Therapy, Certified Meditation Instructor.)
Hands-on experience in Groups working with clients with mental health and addiction issues.

Flexibility work schedule to meet the needs of the programs.
Have reliable transportation to and from work, including between work sites as required.
Successful completion of Criminal Background Checks through DSS LiveScan DOJ Fingerprint, in addition to passing the ADP Selective Screening Services background check.
CPR/First Aid Certification
Current T.B. clearance
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 20 lbs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitates groups within area of specialty (Clinical or non-clinical, such as CBT, DBT, Art Therapy, Trauma Informed Yoga, Music Therapy)
Documentation must meet all requirements within policies and procedures
Adheres to any and all Joint Commission and WAC standards
Communicates directly with supervisory staff.
Is an effective team member as part of the overall program and clinical operations, and is able to communicate needs within and between departments effectively.
Utilizes treatment team and collaborative approach effectively.
Provide therapeutic interventions relevant to their field of expertise during group sessions effectively.
Maintain Electronic Health Records to reflect the course of treatment and provide required documentation as required by company policy, including completion of documentation within the agencies 24 hour standard submission time requirement.
Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, training, and other activities, which ensure effective and efficient functioning of clinical operations.
Adhere to organizational standards and policies and procedures, code of ethics, legal aspects of clinical practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures and exercise professionalism at all times.
