Position Information:
The Recreation Therapist is responsible for all components of patient care in regards to therapeutic recreation including evaluation treatment plan and goal development discharge planning and community re-integration for all appropriate patients within WakeMed Rehab. Position is responsible for observing evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions and modifying age-appropriate treatment plan accordingly. Assists as requested in the development and delivery of services associated with the REACH program including Club REACH social day program and local community integration events. The primary setting for this position is the 98 bed Rehab Hospital on the Raleigh campus and populations served include stroke spinal cord injury brain injury other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics multi-trauma and debility for both adult and pediatric populations.
Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Rehabilitation Preferred
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Therapeutic Recreation Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Required - And Licensed Recreational Therapist Required - And Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability Required
