Employ recreational pursuits, outdoor adventures, adaptive sports and physical fitness routines to positively impact the health, wellness and vitality of individuals with autism and other complex conditions. Design and implement dynamic, therapeutically based experiences that promote the development of skills. Complete all facets of documentation, from assessment to treatment summary, in order to illustrate both quantitative and qualitative outcomes. Collaborate with other professionals from within the Integrated Arts Department. Support and assist in the development of special events and seasonal festivals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within large teams. Must be flexible and organized. This is a grant funded position working afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
Degree in Recreation Therapy, Physical Education or related field. Non-restricted NYS Driver’s license and basic computer skills.
