Recreation Leader

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recreation Leader to join our team. As a Recreation Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities for residents and ensuring their safety and well-being. As a recreational lead you also have a time frame to get certified as a nursing Assistant to be a back up for nursing. If you have a passion for working with the elders and creating a fun and engaging environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and organize recreational activities for residents, including games, crafts etc

- Create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants

- Supervise residents during activities

- Provide guidance and support to residents in their personal and social development

- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive program

- Communicate with residents in a professional manner

Qualifications:

- Ability to educate and engage residents in appropriate activities

- Familiarity with behavior management techniques

- Experience working with diverse groups

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and sometimes written

- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equilvalent
