Recreation Leader

We seek to welcome a hands-on Tourism professional to help ensure all Recreation, Touring, and Event Launches with associated retail activities are successfully executed while paying attention to details and time constraints. This local recreational Tourism professional should have a full grasp of local but world-class experiences serving the Triad population and Visitors. We want to embrace enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about our activities and unique events to chance.

Recreational Leader Responsibilities

• Facilitate specific tourism operations and marketing efforts
• Lead marketing events according toward target-market segments
• Source/negotiate with local opportunities and suppliers
• Lead promotional activities for event and tourism activities
• Lease tours themselves whenever necessary
• Help train new event guides and staff (assistants, etc)
• Prepare all aspects before local events begin
• Ensure event activities are completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur, hands-on.

Recreational Leader Skills

• Positive experience in tourism, recreation, or hospitality
• Skilled in organizing and launching tourism activities/events
• Computer savvy; proficient in Apple platforms
• Outstanding communication and leadership qualities
• Excellent organizing and preparation qualities
• A knack for problem-solving, with full customer service orientation
• Physical endurance with healthy athletic capabilities
• BS/BA in marketing, tourism, recreation, or hospitality

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
