Position to work with Mental Health Court
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and teach the philosophy to staff and consumers that recovery is possible for everyone.
- Implement and maintain weekly peer-to-peer support groups.
- Advocate on behalf of consumers.
- Be trained and facilitate committee meetings and groups such as NAMI, Double Trouble, DBSA, WRAP, and Consumer Government.
- Educate and assist consumers with rights, responsibilities, and appeals.
- Publicize peer driven events.
- Represent CREOKS at state and local meetings and awareness events.
- Attend weekly staff/treatment team meetings.
- Assist individuals in attempting to contact and re-engage consumers to treatment.
- Teach skills to recovery.
- Support consumers in using a Wellness Recovery Action Plan.
- Responsible to provide Wellness Services.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be in recovery for at least one(1) year from mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate needs to others.
- Ability to share story of recovery to individuals and groups.
- Knowledgeable on mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
- Successfully completed the ODMHSAS Recovery Support Provider Training and Test to be credentialed.
- Become a trained facilitator of Double Trouble in Recovery (DTR).
- Become a trained facilitator of Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
