Our team is the front line of our fight against the opiate epidemic.Your Job as an Administrative Assistant:The Administrative Support role will perform various administrative functions assigned in accordance with the office procedures of the clinic.
Responsibilities may include answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing or word processing, office machine operation, and filing.Your Job as a Peer Recovery Coach:The Recovery Coach works with the care management team in providing a seamless continuum of care by maintaining regular and constant communication with patients to provide a set of non-clinical activities that engage, educate and offer support to patients. The Recovery Coach will help patients to remove personal and environmental obstacles to health care access and help them remain in recovery.Job Responsibilities: Perform general administrative tasks assigned in accordance with the office procedures of the clinic. May include a combination of answering telephones, billing, typing or word processing, office machine operation, and filing. Operate the front desk duties during peak hours or when primary staff in unavailable. Sort, organize and maintain office records. Assist with new patient enrollments as necessary. Assist with various insurance/billing reports as necessary. May assist with patient drug testing procedures. Facilitate peer lead support groups. Serve as a mentor for patients by demonstrating ways to become empowered and self-responsible. Providing care management and care coordination services for patients in the clinic. Responsible for coordinating continuum of care activities for assigned patients and ensuring optimum utilization of resources, service delivery, and compliance with external agencies and referral sources requirements; Coordinating care and serve as patient advocate; May also be responsible for conducting individual, and family educational sessions, various duties related to coordinating treatment and discharge activities, as needed; Coordinates in a timely manner, issues or activities relevant to the team, and/or to the team's relationship within the facility or treatment milieu; and, Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsYour Education, Skills and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting preferred Experienced in answering telephones, billing, typing or computer word processing, office machine operation, and filing Must be comfortable with working in an addiction recovery environmentPreferred Skills as a Peer Recovery Coach: Experience as a recipient of substance abuse services and is willing to use and share personal experience, knowledge and first-hand insight to benefit the team and its clients. Understands general addiction, other substance-related problems and available treatment options. General understanding of community resources and how to promote linkage between the patient and resource. Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding to each patient based on where they are in the recovery process and their current psychosocial needs.
