Description
The Records Quality Assurance Technician (RQAT) will be responsible for ensuring support to the Quality Assurance and Customer Service Departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform 100% proof checks on daily paperwork for ISO compliance.
- Data entry, data archivist of documents generated.
- Extensive database entry and support the laboratory operations by performing any administrative and clerical duties including customer certificates.
- Assist in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ELAP, GLP, USDA, and any customer-specific requirements, including supporting management in audits.
- Issue, track, and maintain employee training records.
- Assist in internal environmental program i.e., trending data, and sampling.
- Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and escorts visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Subsample and distribute samples to the Pesticide, Microbiology, and Chemistry departments, when needed.
- Track all sample surveys and generate final data reports - for Walnuts, Prunes, etc.
- Create FedEx labels, request pickups, and send samples and supplies via FedEx when needed.
- Support the laboratory by receiving purchase orders for accounting.
- Responsible for filing and keeping documents organized.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 Quality procedures related to their primary job/area of responsibility.
- Support the laboratory operations and customers by picking up and dropping off samples and supplies, when needed.
- Knowledge of basic sanitation and safety techniques; good laboratory practices.
- Travel to other laboratory locations - Kerman, Yuba City, and Winters.
- Assist in other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
- The applicant will possess a high school diploma or GED; an AA degree in Biology and/or Chemistry is preferred.
- Highly organized, energetic, resourceful, and creative problem solver.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible within a changing work environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be willing to travel
