The Other Manager II - Records Manager plans, designs, and supervises tasks within the Central Files functional area. The Records Manager performs the highest-level duties relating to Central Files operations to ensure compliance with federal regulatory requirements, contractual requirements, and internal procedures.

Specific Responsibilities and Knowledge/Skills:
• Expertise with a records management program that promotes the lifecycle of federal records which includes creation, receipt, maintenance, use, and disposition, regardless of media, with emphasis on electronic federal records.
• Working knowledge of federal requirements contained in Code of Federal Regulations, DOE Orders, NARA requirements, and federal records disposition schedules.
• Knowledge in the fields of Environmental Restoration, Remediation, Monitoring, Groundwater Sampling, and/or Groundwater Modeling.
• Provide assistance with development, implementation, and maintenance of an Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) utilizing Microsoft 365.
• Revise and submit annual contract deliverables to the client for review/approval and resolve comments as needed.
• Conduct record inventories and evaluations, regardless of media, as needed.
• Provide consultation and training to customers on federal records management requirements, processes, and practices.
• Prioritize multiple workflows as needed.
• Establish and implement instructions for special projects, as needed.
• Evaluate the retrievability of historical federal record collections, determine recommendations for improvements and implement recommendations as needed.
• Conduct self-assessments and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Excellent customer service skills and orientation
Requirements
• The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. (Education or experience that is job related may be substituted on a case-by-case basis).
• 5 years of experience required in GOVERNMENT records management, or 7 total years of experience required in non-government records management.
• Electronic records management and digitizing experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
• The Molasky building is an office environment.
• Minimal physical activities are required for the position – must be able to occasionally pick up boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. and bending/reaching for paper records stored in shelving.
