Excellent opportunity for a part-time clerical position ideal for anyone interested in learning about Town government. As a Recording Clerk your responsibilities include attending meetings, record minutes to submit to the Chair, post meeting notices, and other related tasks.
The Planning Board typically holds 1 meeting each month on the 1st and 3rd Thursday, beginning at 7:00pm. Attendance at meetings is required; minutes preparation can be completed remotely.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Excellent grammar and attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend discussions and summarize in written format
- Word processing and email proficiency
- Reliability and able to work independently
- An interest in municipal government is beneficial but not necessary
- Willing and able to become familiar with the Commonwealth of MA Open Meeting Law
Starting rate is $23.08/hour with the opportunity for bi-annual increases. Recording Clerk must become familiar with the Commonwealth of MA Open Meeting Law.
