Receptionist/Referral Coordinator

Animal Surgical & Orthopedic Center is seeking two compassionate, go-getter, problem solving extraordinaires to join our front desk team!

Established in 1986, ASOC is an independently owned surgical and rehabilitation referral practice. Our front desk staff are the first representatives that our clients speak to and meet, and we strive to make that experience the best that it can be. We take huge pride in the level of customer service we provide and are looking for candidates that are approachable, professional and relatable.

The schedule for this position is 8am-5:30pm, 4 days per week, or 9am-5:30pm 5 days per week. We are closed on weekends and all major holidays.

Major job duties:

• Greet and check in/check out clients for consultations, procedures and therapy session
• Interact and create relationships with referring veterinary clinics
• Collect and organize medical records in preparation for appointments
• Handle multiple phone lines and triage calls
• Schedule consultations, surgeries, as well as complex therapy programs
• Accept and record client payments
• Process and maintain electronic medical records
• Work closely with doctors and therapists to maintain high-quality client communications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years experience in customer service, ideally in general veterinary practice or one year in specialty practice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass written veterinary terminology exam within 30 days of employment
• Comfortable with most computer functions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
