The Arbors Assisted Living is currently hiring a Per Diem Receptionist

Looking for Part-Time & Per Diem Receptionist, Days May Vary. Hours are 10pm - 6am, 2pm-10pm & 6am-2pm

Cheerfully greets visitors and directs them to the appropriate person/area within the Community.

• Operate paging/telephone system as required.
• Answers the telephone with a cheerful greeting and directs all calls appropriately.
• Preparation, handling and distribution of community mail
• Maintains daily census.
• Maintains “in” and “out” log of guests/visitors and residents and monitors presence of visitors.
• Takes and delivers telephone messages accurately or directs telephone calls to the appropriate individual.
• Receives inquiries and distributes information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Keeps all office files up-to-date where required.
• Uses patience and tact in dealing with residents, families, and visitors.
• Maintains confidentiality of necessary information.
• Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride.
• Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone number of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
• Receive requests from within the facility and locate personnel through paging system.
• Directs visitors, guest, residents, sales representatives, to the areas within the community as needed.
• Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.
• Ensure guest/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed.
• Assist with Administrative duties as directed.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
• Operate basic office equipment. (i.e.: copier, computer system, postage machines, etc.)

Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
