Receptionist-Part Time

We are seeking an energetic and friendly person to add to our team for this part-time position. The right candidate is compassionate, enjoys helping people and detail oriented. We are looking for an individual who continuously strives to improve the quality and efficiency of their work. Reception duties include ensuring that all details of onboarding new patients is completed in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, taking patient calls, scheduling appointments, sending/receiving faxes and collaborating with partnering practices are integral components of this role. Reception duties also include responding to and addressing patient complaints as they arise and escalating to the Office Manager or other management member as needed.
The right candidate must enjoy interfacing with children and adults while checking in patients, answering busy phone lines, scheduling patient appointments and assisting with insurance billing. Candidates also must have solid computer skills including comfort with Microsoft Word and Outlook, Medent (preferred). Applicants must enjoy animals as training for this position is located currently on our therapeutic farm in which cats and dogs are in the offices and horses are on the premise.

Pay range is $18-$20/hour.

Specific details of the position include but are not limited to:

• Greeting visitors and patients in a timely, professional manner
• Register new patients, verify and update demographic and insurance information
• Ensure all practice intake forms are completed and information is entered accurately into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System
• Monitor reception area patient flow and cleanliness
• Ensure detailed triage messages are completed in EMR, attach documentation as needed and distribute to appropriate recipient
• Record all patient messages, attach documentation in EMR and distribute to intended recipient
• Ensure all patient documentation is loaded into EMR
• Monitor co-pays, patient outstanding balances and discuss with patients when needed
• Complete and verify information in patient file
