Receiving & Shipping Clerk + Packaging

We are open Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. No weekends.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving and Shipping Clerk + Packaging to join our team. This role entails managing incoming and outgoing shipments of goods and materials. As a Receiver, you will be responsible for receiving and counting incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and ensuring they are properly sorted for production. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our company. Once receiving is properly shorted for the day, attention will be switched over to packaging. Our packers prepare finished products to be picked up, delivered, or shipped to our customers. The job entails ensuring that items are present, correct, folded to company standards and packaged into boxes accordingly.

Receiving and Shipping Responsibilities:

· Receive incoming shipments and compare them with purchase orders or invoices.

· Sort, label, and store received items in designated areas within the building.

· Maintain accurate records of received shipments, including quantities and conditions of items.

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow within the building.

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Packaging:

· Follow company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure customers expectations.

· Identify and remove defective items to the appropriate location

· Properly use packaging materials, including boxes, tape, and other necessary tools.

· Account for all items coming out of production to complete a customer’s order.

· Identify and ensure the correct designs on the appropriate items.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to lift heavy objects (30 – 40 lbs.) and perform physical tasks as required.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record information.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to follow verbal and written communication.

· Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.

· Skilled at adapting to project constraints.

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
