Shipping and Receiving Associate
Role Summary: We are currently looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to become an integral part of our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, accurately recording inventory data, and collaborating with team members to ensure products are prepared for distribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus, exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive and carefully inspect incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and meet quality standards.
Accurately document received items in our business system (IFS).
Sort, label, and properly store incoming shipments in designated warehouse areas.
Assist in the counting and verification of stock quantities.
Process inventory receipts, customer returns, and vendor returns.
Maintain open communication with Personnel regarding inventory-related matters, quality, and discrepancies.
Collaborate closely with team members to prioritize and complete daily tasks efficiently.
Adhere to company procedures and directives.
Participate actively in the company's safety and health programs.
Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace.
Contribute to the overall success of the team and the business.
Demonstrate alignment with company values by participating in office events.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a Receiving Associate or similar role (1-3 years).
Strong computer system application proficiency, including Microsoft 365, and a quick learner of new business applications.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
Basic math and record-keeping skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Keen attention to detail.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime on short notice and as required by business needs.
Self-motivated, self-reliant, self-directed, and highly organized.
Willingness to travel to other locations and work as needed.
Forklift experience is a must.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and handling heavy and awkward products.
Ability to learn and operate large warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, 5-ton cranes, etc.
High mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn for career advancement opportunities.
Payrate: $19-$22 per hour
