What is the Opportunity?
- The purpose of the Securitization Finance Associate role is to originate securitization transactions for RBC's clients.
- The Securitization Finance team provides high quality products and services for RBC's clients while generating a material source of revenue, favorable risk/return profile, cross-selling opportunities and client impact for RBC.
What will you do?
- Prepare marketing materials for existing and target clients
- Assist with client sponsorship review
- Provide data analysis, including statistical stratification of collateral portfolios, historical performance statistics and project future performance expectations
- Prepare credit write-ups (Transaction Request) for the required credit (GRM), business (ComCom), and Rating Agency approvals
- Coordinate annual renewals of existing securitization transactions
- Liaise with Rating Agencies to obtain approval for securitization transactions
- Participate in client due diligence sessions and prepare diligence write-ups
- Prepare necessary materials for transaction amendments
- Assist clients in developing custom, menu driven settlement reports designed specifically to meet the terms and conditions of a transaction, where applicable (Client's Seller Report)
- Coordinate with Portfolio Management team in the creation of required client reporting information in proprietary system
- Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business
- Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
- Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- College graduate with history of strong academic performance
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong qualitative and analytical skills
- High proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Solutions-oriented approach to issues and problems
- Energetic self-starter who functions well in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work closely with and learn from both senior and junior team members
Authorities, Impact, Risk:
- Authority to transact on behalf of the firm
- Multi-product and derivatives competent
- Supports Trade Receivables Securitization Financing team within the broader ABS and Global Spread Products businesses
Key Relationships:
- Provide critical support to junior and senior ABS bankers for client coverage
- Regular coordination with Corporate Banking, Global Investment Banking and other internal stakeholders to deliver the best of RBC to our clients
Working Conditions:
- Comfortable and effective multitasking in a fast-paced and pressure-filled trading floor environment with competing priorities and deadlines
- Hours are unpredictable and as needed
- Team and position are based in New York; some travel is expected

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $165,000 - $205,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
