Title Processor/Closer Job Summary
Our company is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Title Processor to join our team. You will assist buyers and the title team in making sure the title application is prepared and submitted correctly, and work with the team to resolve any issues or discrepancies to produce a clear title. The ideal candidate will have experience working in title insurance and/or Real Estate transactions, with a keen eye for detail and outstanding research and customer service skills. Title Processor Responsibilities
• Research and verify the accuracy of documentation such as property title records, property ownership, public records, deeds, leases, surveys, contracts, and agreements needed to produce a clear title
• Enter and submit title and loan documents into software programs to track applicant’s progress
• Work with title examiner and underwriter to prepare title insurance policy and binders and title commitments and with loan closer to prepare HUD-1 Real Estate settlement statements
• Ensure all closing instructions are followed as per the closing package and coordinate with a loan officer, mortgage loan processor, and underwriter to be sure all underwriting commitments have been satisfied
• Aid title officers with administrative assistant essential duties, including clerical and data entry support
• Perform weekly audits for all active files to ensure files close smoothly
• Prepare weekly updates to inform all parties about the status of their closing.
• Monitor scheduled closing dates and work with closing team to ensure all deadlines are met
• Coordinate disbursement of funds to all necessary parties to the transaction
Title Processor Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, some college preferred
• Notary public certification
• 3-5 years of experience with Real Estate transactions, title processing, title company pre-processor
• Superb research, communications, customer service, and analysis skills are desired
• Computer proficient with numerous programs including MS Office is needed
• Extremely organized with great time management and analysis skills
• Calm under pressure
• Client relations and business development experience are a plus
