SalaryProperty Tax Paralegal
Will support Partner with property tax matters and will be responsible for Commercial/Industrial properties within the firm.
The ideal candidate will:
*Have strong communication skills to effectively communicate with clients via telephone and written correspondence.
*Communicate with clients to obtain relevant information for legal proceedings;
*Basic accounting skills and the ability to understand and interpret various lease provisions relating to the landlord and tenant financial obligations under a lease.
*Possess organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, in a time and deadline-driven environment
*Prepare and file briefs to file appeals with the Assessor and Board
*Prepare fee agreements, and other documents as needed for appeals
* Follow up on all documents and filing deadlines
*Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have Excel skills in order to maintain client electronic files as to filing decisions, administrative results/decisions, status of evidence and client correspondence
*Conduct research to support appeal arguments and ensure accuracy and thoroughness of submissions;
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION- Starting salary of $60,000 with increase predicated on performance. This position is challenging, and the work is fast paced. TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
