Maverik is looking for a Real Estate Manager that has a strategic vision and negotiation skills! If you have experience in commercial Real Estate, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in managing contractual deadlines, we want you. Join us to drive our regional Real Estate objectives, identifying potential store sites and optimizing existing assets while representing Maverik with key business partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish, manage, and execute the strategic vision for the regional, Real Estate responsibilities including land and building acquisitions, leasing, site location and selection, and the disposition of surplus properties
- Understand site characteristics that make Maverik stores successful and meet lay out requirements for store property
- Locate potential store sites or non-traditional sites within the assigned geographical area, understanding existing assets performance in the assigned market and identify ways to enhance performance and profitability
- Negotiate various Real Estate agreements, i.e. Real Estate purchase contracts, access easements, use agreements, boundary agreements, etc., including negotiating land dispositions and present proposals
- Assist with negotiating land dispositions and present proposals
- Serve as Maverik’s representative with business partners and third parties (i.e. property owners) to identify issues and provide solutions
- Prepare and implement market studies on the feasibility of sites according to established guidelines, procedures, and policies
- Manage Real Estate contractual deadlines from project inception through sending a feasibility notice
- Accurately prepare Real Estate packet for presentation at the Real Estate Committee meeting
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications: Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development, Business Management or related field and/or 3+ years experience in commercial Real Estate or development preferred
Qualifications: Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in Real Estate contract negotiation, valuation, and permitting preferred
- Experience in municipal land use management a plus
- Background in ArcMap and/or other GIS mapping tools is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) required
