SalaryFirst Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Loan Servicing Specialist to join our Mortgage Service Center team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of mortgage Loan Servicing activities, including:
- Managing the on-boarding process to ensure all information required to service the loan interfaced properly.
- Monitoring on-going ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) change requirements.
- Processing daily Mortgage Loan payments and reconciling various General Ledger and other financial account.
- Managing the off-boarding process, from providing payoff quotes through preparing documents to release the lien on the collateral.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Hours may vary)
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this role is $16.92 - $24.81/hr; commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience required.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in mortgage banking/mortgage servicing, or related experience required.
- Good understanding of mortgage loan terms, documents, and loan programs such as Federal Housing Administration, Veterans Administration and Conventional loan programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicates with customers to resolve inquiries.
- Able to understand complex legal documents, regulatory requirements, investor requirements and Bank policies.
- Must possess analytical skills to research, resolve and communicate issues with customers, lending and origination staff, and management.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
- Self-starter and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
