What You'll Do
We're looking for an Analyst to join our Real Estate Securities team (public equity). In this role, you'll conduct fundamental equity research on an assigned universe of North American property securities and make recommendations for mutual fund and separately managed account portfolios.
  • Strengthen your knowledge, skills and industry contacts necessary to conduct valued research
  • Track and assemble relevant industry and economic data to ascertain current and future fundamental trends
  • Regularly communicate industry and company specific news to the broader investment team
  • Display familiarity with the team's valuation techniques and quantitative analysis tools to build and update models on a consistent, timely basis
  • Provide buy, sell and hold investment recommendations to portfolio managers
  • When opportunities arise, present favorable image of the team in interactions with third parties

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two or more years of related industry experience in equity analysis and/or Real Estate investing; prior Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) experience desirable
  • Knowledge of sophisticated investment vehicles, business acumen, analytical, superior judgment with a total rate of return mentality
  • Requires working knowledge of computer modeling techniques, strong quantitative financial background, statistics and accounting
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
  • MBA with a finance emphasis and/or individuals progressing toward a Chartered Financial Analyst designation
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate an understanding of economics and investment theories
  • Travel as needed and required

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range
$86450 - $147600 / year

Location(s)
We're open to considering in-office or hybrid talent. Locations for talent are Chicago, Des Moines, or New York City. Chicago is the preferred location. The wide pay range noted reflects these various locations.
Work Environments
This role offers the ability for in-office or hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
