Real Estate Construction Development Controller

New York City Real Estate company seeking a Construction & Development Controller to join their team!

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• 5+ years Accoutning and Finance experience out of a Real Estate Development company or related
• Excellent communication
• Abiliity to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task
• Yardi and Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• successfully manage and fully complete tasks for the financial and accounting functions of the Development & Construction
• BUILD AND UPDATE DETAILED DEVELOPMENT COST REPORT IN YARDI PROJECT MANAGER SOFTWARE.
• INTERFACE WITH CONSTRUCTION TEAMS AND OVERSEE ENTIRE EFFORT
• Oversee the monthly job cost report process with the dept head and project managers for use in creating and updating contract schedules and updated work in progress reports for internal and external use
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation accounts receivable progress billings based upon specific contract terms.
• Review accounts receivable, aging reports and assist with direct reports for collections.
• Supervise the payment process to vendors and subcontractors and confirm lien waivers are properly collected.
• Monitor daily cash balances to ensure requirements are met.
• Timely submission of monthly reports.
• Manage IT related Yardi-Construction Manger issues – AS IT RELATES TO YARDI PROJECT MANAGEMENT COST REPORT INTERFACE
• Preparation and review of monthly financial statements for affiliated entities. Review financial statements with ownership and dept heads.
• Create budgets with ownership (or client) and manage budgets to ensure fiscal health and responsibility
• Preparation of construction contract schedules
• Meet and interface with Lenders and be the point of contact for all Development project loans.
• As needed, meet with the financial institution/bankers to review financial results and forecasts.
