Real Estate Associate (Hybrid)

Description:

Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, a full-service law firm of more than 300 attorneys with 15 offices that are located across New York State, as well as in Boston, Kansas City, FL and NJ, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Associate (2-6 years' experience) for its growing Property Department.
Locations: Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, NY/Hybrid Work Arrangement Possible
Skills & Educational Requirements:

• Licensed to practice in New York.
• J.D. degree from accredited law school.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience and will focus on handling commercial Real Estate acquisitions and sales, preparation of easements and other Real Estate instruments, financing, lending and leasing matters.
• Experience with public utility work is desirable.
• Real estate title insurance experience is a plus.
• The successful candidate will be a team-oriented, highly motivated individual with a strong academic record who likes working in a team environment, taking initiative and has excellent research, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
The Associate will assistant the group in handling all aspects of a robust Real Estate practice, including:

• Review and comment upon draft agreements and Real Estate instruments.
• Preparation of Real Estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, easements and other instruments, leases and lease amendments, and loan documents.
• Assist with moving transactions towards closing, including preparation and monitoring of closing checklists, preparation and review of due diligence materials and coordination of closings.
